ArtWalk Ventura 2016 Feast for the Senses

Art comes in many forms.  Some art appeals to the eyes while others stimulate the ears.  ArtWalk Ventura 2016 hits both spots.  While you visit the visual artists displaying their works in different media, enjoy live performances by musicians and dancers throughout the day.  You’ll find these acts performing on the main stage located at California St and Santa Clara St.

ArtWalk Ventura 2016 Bowl Hop

The Bowl Hop is back!  Visit the Bowl Hop tent located at California and Main St on Sunday from 12pm to 5pm.  For just $25 per bowl, guests sample amazing food from local restaurants.  Proceeds from the Bowl Hop benefit Project Understanding’s Food Pantry.  Project Understanding has helped low income and homeless individuals and families in the Ventura area since 1977.  Their food pantry feeds approximately 1,000 Ventura residents each and every month.

2016 Ventura CROP Walk

Click here to search for Ventura County homes for saleFeel the need to assist in the cause?  Good!  First, sign up online at the Ventura CROP Walk website.  The walk begins and ends at the First United Methodist Church on Santa Clara.  Participants have two options: 5K or 10K.  It costs nothing to participate.  However, organizers encourage you to raise money ahead of time.  In fact, anyone who registers and raises $150 by tomorrow, September 16th, receives a free commemorative T-shirt at check-in on the day of the event.  Participants win prizes for money raised.  The more you raise, the better the prize you receive.

Can’t make it to the 2016 Ventura CROP Walk?  Online donations go a long way to feeding those in need.  You may donate to an individual who is already signed up to walk, a team or a general donation if you wish.  Everything is welcome.  Money raised benefits charities such as 1 Family 1 Restaurant, Catholic Charities, FoodShare, Project Understanding and Family to Family.

Over the 35 years that the Ventura CROP Walk has been in business, they have raised more than $650,000 for food and clean water programs.  Approximately one-quarter of the money stays right here in the Ventura community.  The rest reaches less fortunate people in other parts of the country.  Please help.  Sign up yourself, your friends, your family and your co-workers today.
