Ventura County Greek Festival 2018
This weekend’s Ventura County Greek Festival 2018 marks its 40th year in Ventura County. St Demetrios Greek Orthodox Church hosts this fun community event each year to honor the Greek history of its patrons. In its ongoing effort to evolve into as all-inclusive of an event as possible, festival organizers implemented a few new items this year. For example, in past years, the restaurant, mezethes (appetizers), and calamari areas were all set up in their own individual booths. This year, they combine into one giant area known as Yia Yia’s Kitchen. In addition to Greek favorites lamb, chicken, and saganaki, Yia Yia’s offers vegetarian selections for the non-meat-eating crowd. Yia Yia’s now accepts credit cards. Yes, Festival Bucks will still be available for use around the festival (except vendor booths). You can use your credit card to purchase these at Yia Yia’s as well.
Live music and dance performances are scheduled throughout the entire three-day festival. Commemorative T-shirts will also be available for sale. Let everyone know what great fun you’re having from inside the Selfie Zone. Your $5 admission includes one free entry into the $3000 raffle. Free parking is available at the Camarillo Airport Museum as well as the parking area located to the south of the Camarillo Flight Instruction building. All parking areas will be clearly marked for you.
Come visit the Ventura County Greek Festival 2018 anytime this weekend. It’s pure fun that the entire family can enjoy. Opa!
