Ventura Rock on the Dock 2018
Every Saturday in September, Ventura Harbor Village turns into an outdoor concert venue. Ventura Rock on the Dock 2018 hosts a different musical act every week. The band plays on its own floating stage located directly in the harbor. Seating operates on a first-come-first-served basis. No actual seats will be provided. You’re welcome to bring a blanket, towel, or beach chair with you. Or, for something a little closer and a bit unique, rent a paddleboat or slip your kayak into the water. Float on up to the dock and nab yourself a first-row seat directly in front of the band. Of course, if you happen to own a boat moored in the dock, sit out on deck and wait for the concert to come to you. No waiting. No hassle. And you never have to think about where you parked!
Enjoy some shopping. Then, grab a bite to eat. Several restaurants in the village offer waterfront seating, perfect for listening to the concert while dining al fresco. Our beautiful Southern California weather usually means sunny skies with cooler temperatures throughout September. Just make sure you apply sunscreen and wear a hat to help block those pesky UV rays.

This activity is open to everyone ages 12 and above and absolutely free to do.
What would a Waterfront Wednesday be without live music? Steel drummers play from noon to 3 pm every Wednesday this August. Come back in the evening for acoustic rock at the Boatyard Pub, an open mic jazz jam session at the Copa Cubana, and live musical performances at Margarita Villa between 6 pm and 9 pm. Several harbor boutiques also offer special discounts and savings each Wednesday night.
It’s always a good time to visit the water in Southern California. But that’s especially true during Ventura Harbor Village Waterfront Wednesdays 2018. Bring the family out for a fun afternoon during the waning days of summer.
