October means fall harvest fun in Southern California. Halloween is just over three weeks away. That means it’s time to go hunting for pumpkins! But where do you start? Try one of these great 2017 Ventura County Pumpkin Patches.

Chances are good that there are great 2017 Ventura County Pumpkin Patches located somewhere near you. Which one do you like the most?

2017 Ventura County Pumpkin Patches

Ojai Pumpkin Patch

Who: Boccali’s Ranch Pumpkin Patch
Where: Boccali’s Ranch (3277 E Ojai Ave)
Hours: Now through October 31st, 10 am to 7 pm
Admission: FREE, Hayrides $2 each

Home of the “Big Mac” pumpkins (super-sized). But you’ll find every size from small to large here. They also sell squash, Indian corn and other seasonal produce. Let the little ones run free through the free children’s maze. Then, take a hayride around the ranch for just $2 per person. Starting October 13th, Boccali’s hours extend from 10 am until 9 pm. That’s also when the pumpkin patch turns “haunted”. But only from 7 pm to 9 pm every Friday and Saturday until the end of the month.

Santa Paula Pumpkin Patch

Who: Santa Paula Rotary Pumpkin Patch

Hours: Every Sat & Sun thru Oct 29th, 10 am to 5 pm
Admission: $5 per person (ages 2 & under FREE), Corn Maze $10 per person

Activities include hayrides, hay maze, and hay pyramids. Watch a pumpkin take flight for $5 at the pumpkin chucker. Ride a pony or get your face painted for $6. Make your way through the corn maze for $10. Live music performed all day. See large and small farm animals. Visit the country store for something special. When you get hungry, pick up some tasty food.

2016 Ventura County pumpkin patches are open for business. You'll find baked goods, live music, petting zoos and so much more throughout the county.Fall has arrived.  Now that we are firmly in October, it’s time to start planning for Halloween.  Luckily, 2016 Ventura County pumpkin patches are open for business.  However, you’ll find more than just ghoulish gourds here.  Corn mazes, games, hay rides and other fun activities greet visitors all around the County.

Every one of these 2016 Ventura County pumpkin patches offers something unique.  Ojai provides guests with haunted hay rides after dark on Fridays and Saturdays starting next weekend.  Santa Paula showcases an actual pumpkin chucker trebuchet.  Yes, I said “pumpkin chucker”!  Ventura brings the largest variety of pumpkin patches to the public.  Maybe you visit just one.  Perhaps you’ll want to add a few of these to your itinerary.  You decide.

2015 Ventura County Pumpkin Patches Are Now Open

The 2015 Ventura County Pumpkin Patches are now open and ready for business. Since uncarved pumpkins last for months, it's not too early to pick one up.What does October mean in our Ventura community?  The weather starts to turn crispy cool at night.  Hot cocoa and warm apple cider will replace icy concoctions as the drinks of choice.  And, of course, there’s Halloween.  On that note, several 2015 Ventura County Pumpkin Patches are now open and ready for business.

One of the biggest 2015 Ventura County Pumpkin Patches is Big Wave Dave’s.  There are two convenient locations to serve the public: Ventura and Santa Barbara.  Here, you’ll find pumpkins both big and small.  Kids can try out games specifically meant for them and win prizes.  They have everything from hay bales to ornamental gourds, Indian corn to corn stalks.  Whatever you need for your fall decor, Big Wave Dave’s got it!  If you like what you see, come back after Thanksgiving to pick up your Christmas tree from Big Wave Dave.

Prancer is well known as one of Santa’s reindeer. But did you know that he also has a pumpkin patch?  It’s one of the 2015 Ventura County Pumpkin Patches that are now open for business.  You get so much more than a pumpkin patch here, though.  There are hay rides, carnival rides, face painting, a petting zoo and even a hay pyramid!

Those are just a few of the 2015 Ventura County Pumpkin Patches you and your family can attend.  Worried that it’s too early to pick up your pumpkin for Halloween?  Don’t be.  As long as it’s stored between 50-55F and left uncarved, your pumpkin will be fresh as a daisy when you carve it up for Halloween later.
