Ventura Harvest Moon Spooktacular 2018

Halloween officially takes place in 16 days. That means trick-or-treating happens on a school night (Wednesday, this year). Ventura officials believe it’s slightly inhumane to make kids or parents wait that long. Celebrate Halloween with more treats and fewer tricks at the Ventura Harvest Moon Spooktacular 2018. And it takes place on the Saturday before Halloween. So, you’ll have a day to recover from your candy hangover before the kids head back to school and you go back to work.

Enjoy a safe and sane preview of Halloween night when you come to the Ventura Harvest Moon Spooktacular 2018, with treats, live entertainment & a movie.

What: Ventura Harvest Moon Spooktacular 2018

Guests enjoy holiday-themed arts and crafts, carnival games, jump houses, a costume contest, and even a pirate ship.

Of course, there will be trick-or-treating from businesses in the downtown Ventura area. Just look for a pumpkin sign in the window. This signals that treats await inside. For the daredevils, enter the haunted house at your own risk. Watch or join the pie-eating contest. When you get hungry, visit one of the food trucks on-site. Several raffles and a silent auction offer amazing prizes. And admission is absolutely free (raffle tickets will cost you, though).

After the sun goes down, the movie screen goes up. Stay in Mission Park for a free outdoor screening of A Nightmare Before Christmas. Bring a blanket or lawn chair with you to enjoy the movie in comfort.
