Only eight more shopping days until Christmas. Can you believe it? And this year, Hanukkah begins on the evening of December 25th. That gives us double the reason to celebrate. Here are a few of the Ventura Harbor holiday fun events still to come before the year ends.

Ventura Harbor Village offers plenty of free family-friendly Ventura Harbor holiday fun before 2024 ends. You won't want to miss a moment.

Santa Paddle

Even Santa enjoys a bit of paddle-boarding through the harbor. Dress up in your best Santa garb. Grab your paddleboard. Then head to Ventura Harbor Village on Saturday, December 21st.. Go for a paddleboard adventure with the jolly old elf himself between 11 am and noon. Don’t have a paddleboard? Lack the coordination (or the nerve) to paddle out on a paddleboard? Don’t worry. Ventura Boat Rentals offers paddleboard, kayaks, and even pedal boats for rent (Dock C-10). Whomever is deemed to be wearing the best holiday-themed costume wins a prize. (Reindeer, snowman, elves. Whatever.) While the paddle event costs nothing to participate, Ventura Harbor encourages people to bring a new, unwrapped gift with them for the Spark of Love Toy Drive going on right now. All toys received go directly to local Ventura families in need.

Winter Wonderland Market

After you finish paddling out with Santa, put some dry clothes on (and maybe a warm jacket). Then visit the village’s Winter Wonderland Market from noon to 4 pm. It’s a great place to complete your Christmas gift list, pick up stocking stuffers, grab a hostess gift for those holiday gatherings, or even look for something special just for yourself. Santa and Mrs. Claus plan on attending and posing for pictures, too. They may even bring a couple of reindeer for everyone to see. Plus, rumor has it that Santa will a bringing some snow with him directly from the north pole. You won’t want to miss it!

Hanukkah Festival

Finally, how about a little Hanukkah celebration as part of the Ventura Harbor holiday fun? From 3 pm to 4 pm on December 26th, Chabad of Ventura lights the menorah. They also plan on including some fun arts and crafts as well as live entertainment. Hope you can make it!
