Ventura Art and Chalk Festival 2024
Come see the beautiful creations of more than 50 talented local artists at the Ventura Harbor Village. What makes this festival different from others? While paint, metal work, glass, and photographs line the sidewalks, this festival features artistic masterpieces created solely using chalk. And some of those masterpieces are created right before your very eyes.
One of the special guests this year is talented artist Greg Wray. While you may not recognize that name, you certainly recognize his artwork. How? He’s drawn for The Walt Disney Company, Warner Brothers, and even SEGA (the video game company). In fact, you might have seen his work on the cover of the Sonic the Hedgehog video game series. He plans on bringing Sonic to the beach in a chalk drawing he creates throughout the weekend. Let your kids join in on the fun. A specially marked-off area allows kids to unleash their inner “artiste” with drawings of their own in chalk.
If you see something you like among the hundreds of artwork for sale, please buy it. A portion of all sales benefits local charities through the Ventura Rotary Club. Bring a lawn chair and/or blanket with you to listen to the live music performed throughout this two-day festival in comfort. Park for free at Ventura Harbor Village. However, those spots fill up pretty quickly. You will find more free parking available at the nearby beach parking or on Spinnaker Dr at the Ventura Isle Dolphin parking lot.
