Ventura Can-Tree 2024
According to the County of Ventura’s Human Services Agency, more than 70,000 people in Ventura County experience food insecurity each and every day. Our food pantries have seen an uptick in people who come to their facilities for assistance. Now in it’s 13th year, Food Share Ventura’s Can-Tree event offers a fun way to help feed people during the holiday season.
How You Can Participate
There are four ways you can be a part of Can-Tree. First: collect 600 to 800 cans to build your own tree. Reach out to family, friends, neighbors, church members, etc. For the ideal tree build, all cans should be similar in shape and size. Second: raise money to build a tree. Each tree costs $700. Third: Donate $700 to Food Share of Ventura. In turn, they go out and buy the cans needed for you to build the tree. Finally, sponsor a tree. For $750, your name and/or business will be displayed with the tree, the center will build it for you, and you will be sent a photo of the finished product.
They also offer three tiers for sponsorship: Charlie Brown ($2500), Spruce ($5000), and Noble Fir ($10,000). Each sponsorship places your company name and logo on all T-shirts and marketing materials as well as a tree with your company’s name and logo added to Sponsor Row. With a Spruce sponsorship, you also get interviewed live on-site with local radio stations. For the Noble Fir sponsorship, you get everything listed above as well as your company name included in all radio advertising and your own 15′, 10,000 can tree that includes your company name and logo wrapped around the exterior.
