Halloween takes place this Thursday. After that, ’tis the season to give thanks. That can happen in a variety of ways. Donating to charity is one of them. The Ventura Pottery Market and Bowl of Thanks event provides a fantastic opportunity to do that very thing.

Buy a bowl to feed yourself and local families in need this year by visiting the Ventura Pottery Market and Bowl of Thanks on Nov 9th & 10th at Ventura Harbor Village. Proceeds from bowl sales benefit Food Share Ventura County.

Ventura Pottery Market & Bowl of Thanks 2024

The Ventura Pottery Gallery showcases the talents of local Pottery Guild members each and every day. However, with their annual pottery market, they also spotlight a local charity: Food Share Ventura County. Thanksgiving celebrations tend to focus on the food as well as family gatherings. Unfortunately, some of our neighbors cannot afford to do so. That’s when organizations like Food Share Ventura County step in.

How to Participate

Simply visit the Ventura Pottery Gallery at Ventura Harbor on Saturday, November 9th or Sunday, November 10th between 10 am and 5pm. Dozens of hand-crafted bowls have been donated by local artisans as well as college students and schoolchildren will be on display. Just choose the bowls you like, pay $25 per bowl, and receive a punch card for complimentary food tastings at several of the Ventura Harbor restaurants. All of the money raised from this two-day events goes directly to Food Share Ventura County.

Ventura County Pumpkin Patches

If you still need a jack-o-lantern for Halloween this year, several Ventura County pumpkin patches remain open through Thursday night. Whether you live in Ventura, Santa Barbara, Santa Paula, or Ojai, you can find a pumpkin patch near you. Have a happy and safe Halloween night.
