This year, Easter Sunday falls on April 5th. Several Easter celebrations take place in the weekends leading up to Easter Sunday, though. Here are just a few of the Ventura Easter Events you will find occurring over the next couple of weeks.

Ventura Easter Events 2026
Ventura Harbor Village
First up. Easter photos with the big bunny himself. The Easter Bunny makes an appearance at Ventura Harbor Village between noon and 3 pm on Saturday, April 4th. He plans on posing for photos with the kiddos. So make sure you dress up in your Easter best. Then, stick around for some live music at the village from 1 pm to 4 pm. If you don’t have time, though, come back on Easter Sunday to listen to live music And make sure you stop at one of the many fabulous restaurants for something delicious to eat.
Downtown Ventura
On Saturday, March 29th, visit Plaza Park in Downtown Ventura for a free egg hunt. The Easter Bunny also plans on making an appearance during the hunt. So make sure you dress in your Easter best for a great photo op. Carnival-type rides, a bounce house, and carnival games will also be set up. But those take tickets to ride. You may purchase those tickets separately. Even though the event is free, you must register to participate.
Thousand Oaks
Flashlight egg hunts happen exactly as you think: at nighttime. Five separate locations. All at night (between 6 pm and 9 pm) and all on March 27th. All egg hunts take place free of charge. Anyone participating must simply bring a flashlight, a basket, and their sense of adventure. Show up and hunt. In addition to the egg hunts, kids can participate in fun arts and crafts. And all locations (except Old Meadows Park) also provide bounce houses for kids to play in.
Locations for the flashlight egg hunts:
- Borchard Community Park: 190 N Reino Rd, Newbury Park
- Conejo Community Park: 1175 Hendrix Ave, Thousand Oaks
- Dos Vientos Community Park: 4801 Borchard Rd, Newbury Park
- Old Meadows Park: 1600 Marview Dr, Thousand Oaks
